Kate and Will just sent Harry and Meghan a message all parents can relate to

Unless you've somehow avoided all news and social media for the last few days, you'll know by now that Meghan and Harry have welcomed their first child - a baby boy - into the world!

What we know about the new arrival so far is very limited, and the only things that have been confirmed are that the infant weighed 7lb 3oz, and was born at 5.26am on Monday morning. The happy couple have been laying low since the birth, and the media still isn't entirely sure where they are at the moment. Initial reports suggested that Meghan had delivered the baby at home, but later on it appeared that she may have been taken to hospital on Sunday night.

Prince Harry has said that he and the duchess of Sussex are "absolutely thrilled" at their new arrival, and that both mother and baby are doing "incredibly well".

While he is obviously overjoyed at becoming a parent for the first time, though, his older brother - a father of three - had a somewhat more cynical take on the happy news.

The Duke of Cambridge gave a statement saying that he and Kate were "obviously thrilled, absolutely thrilled, and obviously looking forward to seeing [Harry, Meghan and the baby] in the next few days when things have quietened down".

However, he then added: "I'm very pleased and glad to welcome my own brother into the sleep deprivation society that is parenting," proving that the royals are human beings like the rest of us, after all.

Even so, you can tell that he's super chuffed to have become an uncle:

Sleep deprivation society or not, though, Harry is clearly very excited to be a father.

Meanwhile, the Sussex Royal Instagram page updated to say, "The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days."

Needless to say, we can't wait to meet the new arrival!
