Mom Shares Genius $4 Hack To Remove Stains From School Uniforms

Getting your clothes dirty on an almost daily basis is all part of the parcel of being a kid. This is especially the case at school: where youngsters spend their lunchtimes chasing each other around, climbing jungle gyms, and, naturally, getting their hands sticky at lunchtime (Why eat your jelly pot with a spoon when you can do it with your fingers, right?!).

And for parents of schoolchildren, washing their uniforms is a constant struggle. While it's great to know that your kid's living life to the full, some of the stains they get on their clothes are a lot harder to remove than others and, more often than not, leave us with no option but to replace them, which can be costly.

One mom, however, has now revealed a game-changing uniform hack, which, for the price of just $4 enables us parents to remove some of the most stubborn stains that make their way onto our kids' clothes.

Taking to Facebook, Ashley Baxter explained how this genius hack works:

"OK so I'm slightly embarrassed to post this, but!!

"As little kids explore, spill foods, paints etc, I saw a tip on Mrs Hinch page about Milton steriliser fluid, (Mrs H hasn't done this, I tried it after seeing on a fan page it takes stains out)."

She continued:

"Knowing I had some sitting, [I thought I'd] give it a bash. This one top is very discolored [so] I'm not gonna lose anything! Well, this is the result!"

Baxter accompanied her post with impressive before and after pictures that show just how effective the hack is:

"I'm about to go do all her shirts and white tops now.

"Although it hasn't taken the permanent market off it'll be fine under a dress."

Baxter explained that in order to utilize the hack effectively, you have to mix one part Milton with three-part water in "a large mixing bowl with boiling water". After this, pop in the clothes and let them soak for two hours before putting them in a whitewash.

One equally hack-savvy mom commented: "I do this with my shower curtain too. It's amazing."

So, the next time your little monsters come home from school having seemingly ruined yet another shirt, take comfort in the knowledge that, with a little effort, you probably won't have to replace it. Shoutout to Baxter for sharing this awesome hack.
